Appetite for Disruption: Washington Riesling

Disruption Wine Company’s Riesling, Columbia Valley 2016

Aroma:  Apple, pear, flower blossoms, herbs

Appearance:  Pale straw, crystal clear

Taste:  Predominantly lime, a touch of green apple, baking spices, zippy acidity with a dry, bitter-ish finish

Feel/Body:  Smooth, a touch oily, with a medium body

Overall:  great cocktail wine (on its own), great food wine as well.  Easy to drink, love the dryness.

Pairing suggestions:  Pad Thai with shrimp, briny oysters (like Pemaquids), apple-baked brie
